Once your dog finds out how good life can be at City Dog Market, they'll never be the same. Seriously, do you really want your dog to know about this retailer who offers the "ultimate in pet products and services?" Think about your answer carefully!
City Dog Market has opened its doors to the pawed public at 4244 Peachtree Road (next to Chevron). Brookhaven, Buckhead, Chamblee and Dunwoody will finally be served by an independent, quality pet products merchant. My wife and I at first thought it was going to be a cool hot dog cafe when we saw the sign. Though we were disappointed, our pooch Libby couldn't be more happy!
| The owners have created a wonderful place for dogs and dog lovers (cats, too!) - top quality merchandise carefully displayed in an open-feeling, market-style store.  | Liberty "Libby" Belle is the finest pedigree pound dog ever to grace Brookhaven. We rescued her from the Fulton County pound when she was about 14 weeks old. A scraggy member of an unwanted litter, Libby has been nurtured, pampered, and trained to be the dog of dogs. Folks marvel at her when we are in public ... "What a beautiful dog!", "What kind of breed is that?," and "She's so well behaved!" All of these accolades are to be credited to Libby's own good nature and how carefully we raised and trained her. She is the quintessial "good dog" and deserves all the "Treats" she gets! Back to City Dog Market ... |
City Dog Market (CDM) is exactly the place for dogs like Libby - she may have no pedigree but she has a family that loves and spoils her! My first tentative visit to CDM won me over completely. After grilling them about every subject I could think of in my snobby dog owner arsenal, I found one product they did not have. My victory was short-lived since they special ordered the whole-beef training product for me on the spot!
| Not only is it a "dog-friendly" environment, the inventory is made up of only the best quality products. If that weren't enough, the services include self-service dog baths, massage therapy (don't get excited, it's for the dog), and training. The bath service includes all the shampoos, towel service, etc., and you'l love the hip-high tubs with built-in stairs for Fido! Seeing all of this made it easier to believe what I found out when I took a few moments to meet the owners - Renee and Patsy are not posers! |  |
They run CDM with the passion and devotion that only true dog lovers can. After talking over my own dog's history and needs with them both and listening to their responses it was clear that our community is now host to a premier pet products retailer. You heard it here first, City Dog Market is going to become a fixture in Brookhaven!
Do yourself a favor and visit them soon. If you have a well-behaved pooch, let them enjoy meeting the owners' own gentle-giant lab, Big Daddy. Once you do, be careful because you and your dog will have to have a regular visit to make your weeks complete!
